Kitty qualified as Dutch patent attorney and in 1989, as a European patent attorney in 1994 and then as a Belgian patent attorney in 2013. She previously worked in-house at Philips and then as a Partner in one of the larger patent and trade mark law firms in the Netherlands. In 2009 she established a new firm, Ab Ovo Patents & Trademarks in Limburg, South Netherlands. Ab Ovo is an independent firm which works closely with HLK in support of HLK’s clients in The Netherlands and Belgium.

Kitty specialises in mechanical engineering and she has experience in various companies and industries, from machinery for the IT sector to roller coasters, from agricultural tools to vessels. She combines sharp analytical capability with exceptional knowledge and experience. Her commitment to quality and to closely-integrated long-term client relations make her a great cultural fit as a business partner for HLK. Kitty is member of the Orde van Octrooigemachtigden, EPI, AIPPI and FICPI.
